Feb 16, 2019Le Roy Village Green Nursing Home.She was born Dec. 5, 1928 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Nelson and Elsie Ruth Richenberg Pocock. Mrs. Hinz was a 1946 graduate of Batavia High School. She had been employed by Marine Midland Bank, M&T Bank, substitute teacher aide for special education at B.O.C.E.S., in Batavia and an aide at Heritage Manor of Le Roy.Mrs. Hinz was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Batavia.She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Samuel) Goldwater of Tyler, Texas. Two sons, Thomas Hinz of Aliquippa, Pa. and Timothy (Darlene) Hinz of Batavia. Five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister in-law, Nancy Pocock of Batavia also survive.She was the sister of the late John Pocock and Marguerite Swaim.Friends and family are invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Wednesday (February 6th) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, NY. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 Washington Ave., Batavia.
